The SOAL class taught me about where the ideas of our government came from as well as our role as citizens of the US and just how much we have the ability to impact our government.
I feel empowered stepping into adulthood armed with a deeper understanding of my identity as an American
While many Americans look around them at the current state of the nation and wish for change, few actually make the efforts to do so. Scholars of American Liberty is a fantastic program that seeks to create educated citizens that can lead our nation into its future, which should prove bright given the care with which the curriculum of the course is designed. I couldn’t be happier with the program, and I’m certain that the education we receive there will serve us and our nation well for years to come.
SOAL is enhancing a desire I have not just to gain knowledge but to apply it to society. By learning about how our country was formed and what our forefathers were thinking, I am aware of notions that they didn't invent but rather are ageless and vital to our daily lives. On top of all that, I am also learning what are my rights and role as a citizen, so that I can live as someone who's informed and ready for the next stages of life.
We are so thankful for the opportunity our son has been given to lean deeper into the history of our country and its constitution. He has enjoyed the class and growing in his understanding of this great nation. This should be essential education for ALL Americans!
My son is LOVING SOAL, but it’s not that it’s a fun class, it’s that he comes home excited for history! SOAL is really stretching my son by challenging his thinking! Every day my son comes home from SOAL he is excited for American history and the very fabric of our constitution, which is quite shocking - but fun! I’m impressed with how much my son knows because of SOAL!
The SOAL scholarship program and class has been very beneficial for my son. He has learned to think deeper about the history and liberties of our country, as well as prioritizing his own time. Thank you to the teachers for making this possible.
President Kennedy’s words inspired the nation during difficult times to see the importance of civic action and public service. He challenged everyone to contribute in some way to the public good.
Won’t you join our efforts to help educate the next generation of Americans so that the students of today may become the patriots of tomorrow and carry on President Kennedy’s historic request?
